I know, world in peril and we have to work together. This is my last office romance, I'll tell you that.

Nope, not country. New wave, maybe? I don't know music terms. On radio at the time, but for punky emo kids before there was emo.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Just how Spartan is your Charlotte room, Gud?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Do you remember how you got there, Gud? Have men in black asked you any questions?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

-t -- I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did -- a lot of the series was filmed outdoors (of course!) and the actors must have spent hours walking slowly, swinging metal detectors.

OTOH, I can't remember any closeups of their spades and shovels uncovering props -- just medium shots where the hole is dug or being dug, so that the actor could have just palmed the "find" (usually a worthless bit of metal).

(One of the leads is Toby Jones, in a non-villainous role for once, trying hard not to live a life of quiet desperation.)

Our wings are not tired.

Enjoy Charlotte, Gud.

First time back in the office since the big windstorm, and one of the rowhouses across from my window has about 3/4 of the roof peeled back, down to the wood decking. I hope they get a tarp up there before this afternoon.

If I got up at 5-ish for meetings that are not happening, I will be very put out.

As you should be. I would not be pleased with that scenario.
