A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I've been on the phone changing insurance and seeing up trash service for over an hour now. I'm holding at the moment, in fact.

Gulped at the bill, but got paint for LR and Master this morning, will hopefully get those mostly knocked out this weekend. I'm really excited to see the paint colors -- I'm going darker than I've ever gone before (mwah ha ha) so I'm a little nervous.

Laura, I think B would be a great head coach! I hope it works out.

Our wings are not tired.

Paint is stupid expensive, but good paint is worth the price difference.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I really think we should follow the government's lead and just...not work today.

Done! Because, um, today's my regular day off.

I have walked the dog and started laundry and done the dishes. But the house desperately needs to be vacuumed and straightened. Bah.

I'm trying not to stress about the fact that 45* has just started a trade war with the rest of the world, and the stock market (where my retirement lives, such as it is) is tanking.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would also prefer not to work today! So far I have had three meetings and lunch. Two more meetings to go, and presumably some actual work in there in between.

It's not dangerous outside here, I guess, but it sure is nasty. I am skeptical that my coworker is going to fly out this afternoon.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You may remember the drama from November 2016 when Jack bit an employee at PetCo. Well, this last November she filed a claim through a "strong arm" lawyer against my insurance, asking for my policy limit. This hit just prior to the final bite from him and having to say goodbye. Not a good time in any way, shape, or form.

My insurance has been great about keeping me up to date, asking for my input on how I wanted to proceed. Ultimately, it is their choice but I felt like a valued insured with expert protection. Anyway, we made a few settlement offers against the completely outrageous claims. I thought the offers were quite generous. But, of course, her lawyer kept insisting on the policy limit.

About a month ago, on my birthday actually, I got a call from the manager of the claims person I had been working with. He was advising me to consider retaining my own lawyer in case this ended up in court and somehow I lost. I would be liable for anything due over my coverage.

With all that has been going on elsewhere in my life, I hadn't been aggressive about finding a lawyer. The final claim letter said we had to agree to pay the policy limit by February 27th or they would file litigation. The insurance company, despite finding that I was not negligent and had video to back that up, blinked and notified me that they would be paying the full amount.

Yesterday I received a copy of the final release of any liability. I hadn't realized how heavy all that had been weighing on my shoulders but now that it is gone, I fell so much better.

Holy smokes, Suzi. That's...a lot. I'm glad it worked out ok.

Oh jeez, Suzi. SO glad it worked out!

In other news, I am glad that my new team member seems comfortable enough being "one of the girls." He's the only man on a team of 12! But is already seeming relaxed and enjoying himself at the end of week 1.

Sounds good to me, Dana.

Woot vacation!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Oh Suzi that is a lot and all so awful. Why are people so awful?

I am at work and I have done work, but I am also watching a movie on my phone. Screw cleaning off my desk. It's friday and Oscar weekend and I feel exhausted and do not want to deal with people or work.
