Oy vey, both of you!
I am trying to focus on how my job would be fun if I had 30% less work, which I will when I get my last open position filled.

In other news, I am having a footwear crisis. Suddenly I hate tall boots! I don't like mine, I don't like them on other people, I don't want to wear them! Is this just my usual late winter hating all my clothes, or am I really just done with boots???
Can you clearly articulate your anti-tall boots stance, Jesse?

Ooh. That is exciting!

All of a sudden I just don't like they way they look!
Am I going to have to figure out ankle boots????
Also, shrift, I just saw the episode with your tagline, and it made me laugh.
Today I got the fun of cautioning a couple of our editors that the artist they chose to feature prominently in a sample unit was... let's just say she makes J.Lo seem undemanding and easy to work with.
Whoa, sudden onset tall boot hatred! I say give it some time, see if it passes. I am a longtime fan of ankle boots, myself, though. You might want to experiment.
In short, capitalism, feh.
I feel this so hard. So, so hard.
I don't believe I own boots. Maybe I have a pair of hiking type boots up north. Huh.
DH's team lost their game tonight so season over. The other guys deserved the win, and I can't say I am sorry to have a husband back home again. I would have been happy for them to go to state, but not too unhappy to have it done with.
I love tall boots and wear them whenever I can. I wear them with knee-length skirts.
Seeing what executives get to get reimbursed for (or just send the bills to be paid by the company) has made me really bitter about this stuff.
This reminds me, I really need to write the essay I've been planning to write forever (and probably publish on Medium or something) on how expensive it is to be "not high income" in this country. Shit like this drives me nuts and I know as someone who's been on both sides of the equation how persistent an evil it is. And it's a hard thing to discuss without folks getting defensive. But, in short, the more someone has, the MORE likely he is going to get freebies and perks. It's everything from award show gift bags filled with thousands of dollars of goodies, to All-Star game winners winning cars, and folks with 20K minimums in checking accounts having no fees. Anyway, one day I'll write that post, but right now my life is filled with too much to deal with and with that I shall end this post.
