My hair is blue and purple and green again. Took forever, which reminds me why I didn't think I'd do it again after the first time. It does look awfully cool, though.

I was very productive today! I've been wanting to replace all my upstairs carpet (old and nasty) with hardwood. Finally realized the job can be done in bits. So my sister came over and we ripped up the carpet in the hall, threw it out, pulled up all the nails and staples and tack strips, and vacuumed, and now I have an ugly but clean plywood floor. I'm so pleased. Next step, pick out new flooring.

Y'all, I don't know what possessed me (maybe the spirit of Monica Geller?), but I just spent the last half hour on my kitchen floor scrubbing with vinegar and water—my kitchen hasn't been this clean in years!

I think the snow has turned to sleet. Glad I decided to go get the new-to-me tablesaw early. Was debating going back out, but now I think nah.

I got all of the boxes and wrapping and everything out of the house and into the trash/recycling bins, and even vacuumed! Now I just need someone to buy my old table.

Decided to just stay home for the Super Bowl. Low carb diet city here so we are having deviled eggs, spinach/artichoke dip filled baby peppers, big fresh salad, and mounds of peel and eat shrimp.

#1 son is here (let's hope he goes to a friend's house), so I am hoping there isn't overly emotional involvement in a game that means nothing to anyone but him. We just watch for fun.

eta: suhweet! Just noticed the shrimp DH bought is peeled.

yesterday was weird i. We got up ,because someone called to borrow one of Matt's guitarrs, then I strte picking up getting ready to move the new to us couch and chair in. And we decided to go big - and rearrange to room. and while DH was out grabbing a few things - my bad tooth flared up and I had an emergency root canal. Then we came home and moved mor e stuff. - including calling a friend for some help to move the couch. And then some friends had us meet them at a bar for a drink - and then fed us dinner. The living room is in pretty decent shape , but the rest of the house is covered in stuff. but I get to go to work in half an hour

I am hungry but the Thai restaurant doesn't open until noon. I feel this is deeply unfair.
