So, I am told that I will be getting exactly the same salary I was getting before. Accounting has demanded that I stay with them through February because Audit, I don't know what that means for my pay because I have not gotten the official offer letter yet. "It's just a formality" says HR "I'll email it to you shortly".
But, whatever, I have a cupcake and some tacos.

I hadn't planned on watching anything, but I have to watch something just to divert ratings. It has been a rare occasion that I have missed the SOTU, but my health and tv screen will be better off by skipping.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
Instead of the president, I'm watching The Resident, and oh my god, the writing on this show is SO BAD. I keep thinking scenes are being staged for another character's benefit, but no. It's just the writing. Still probably better than SotU.

I had a last dinner with the cousins and my aunt and uncle (who just got back to town last night) before heading out on a plane. I'm torn between looking up the SOtU now and knowing whatever bs it is I'll see it tomorrow...probably will wait for tomorrow.
