I finished the pot of chili I'd made this past week, using it and some pasta shells to make sort-of chili mac since I was out of crackers. Very good, and in another 36 hours or so I should be fit for human company again!

Sounds like a good ending to the weekend, aurelia.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

This thing in Davos keeps making me think we should be worried about Daleks more than Skynet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So much TCB and cooking yesterday! Good one.

My local dry cleaner suddenly went out of business the other week (so suddenly, I had bought a Groupon that very day -- they gave me a refund), and now they are opening for one day only to come get your stuff (and pay for it, if it got cleaned). They will be open 7am to 4pm on Friday. That just doesn't seem like enough time or notice! (Not that I have anything there.)

Wow, yeah, that sounds like a mess.

A 10-month-old Pallas cat escaped from the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City over the weekend. The zoo is in the foothills of the local mountains, with residential areas nearby. It's supposed to be very shy, so I'm betting they're not going to find kitty any time soon. They're meant for cold mountainous regions, and I'm almost wishing a breeding pair had escaped together. Maybe it'll find some nice cat lady's basement to huddle up in.

Aww. In most pictures I've seen, Pallas cats have a "no time for your BS" look on their faces, which I love. I hope the escapee survives without too much trouble.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Pallas cats are awesome. Run, kitty, run. Be free and be safe.

Surveillance footage shows kitty's still on zoo grounds, skulking around, so at least he's away from traffic.
