A 10-month-old Pallas cat escaped from the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City over the weekend. The zoo is in the foothills of the local mountains, with residential areas nearby. It's supposed to be very shy, so I'm betting they're not going to find kitty any time soon. They're meant for cold mountainous regions, and I'm almost wishing a breeding pair had escaped together. Maybe it'll find some nice cat lady's basement to huddle up in.

Aww. In most pictures I've seen, Pallas cats have a "no time for your BS" look on their faces, which I love. I hope the escapee survives without too much trouble.
Pallas cats are awesome. Run, kitty, run. Be free and be safe.
Surveillance footage shows kitty's still on zoo grounds, skulking around, so at least he's away from traffic.
Jesse, at the very least it sounds like Allyson should pitch them a story!
Timelies all!
Trying to type around Mr. S, who is leaning on my lap.
Old boss called - they are offering me the job with a start date of 3/1 so I will be available during the audit (in February) over here. I'll get the official paperwork tomorrow. I'm still mildly doubtful - I have the feeling they are going to screw me on salary or something somehow or other, but we shall see.
I kinda want the escaped Pallas Cat to team up with an octopus and fight crime. Maybe work with those baboons sometimes.
That's good news so far, though, -t!
It is!
