I'm 34,335 in line to buy Hamilton tickets today. I already have one ticket, but the show is while I can't drive myself. I want another ticket so whoever drives me can see the show too. Wait time - over an hour.

I've discovered that Gizmo doesn't object to being scrubbed with a sponge and warm soapy water; he just doesn't want to be placed in a tub. Once I let him stand on the bathroom floor he purred throughout being washed. (Rinsing him off is still a bitch in a building with no bathtub, though.)

I'm on my couch in sweatpants, babying my cold and periodically rolling out and folding dough for croissants.

It does look like there's going to be some kind of deal this afternoon, so I'll probably be back to work tomorrow. I think.

So I am on furlough, though I went in today because I wasn't sure of my status.The OPM website said check with your agency, my agency said the Clinical Center was open, but gave another link to check. Other link directed me back to OPM. Went in, helped out a little in the blood core until more people came in(and found that I'm not the only one confused about their status), checked my e-mail to find I am indeed on furlough, and went home.

In other news, our water heater has a leak somewhere, so the valve is shut off except when we need to shower.(Basically, no hot water if valve is shut off) Joy.
