My house is mostly family pieces, from different vintages, or flatpack stuff, and the woods are...hem, an eclectic mix. Mixed woods don't bother me, but I know they do annoy some people. Just my two cents. I'm sure any of those choices would blend and look well together, Jesse.
Because they aren't in my line of sight, I forgot about the light Ikea bookshelves I also have in there! I agree that whatever wood is fine together.
I am just going to make a decision and call it a day!
I did it! Now I have to clear my cookies so they don't follow me around the internet.
I still don't know if I'm working shift tomorrow or not. *If* the exercise does start tomorrow, (I don't know how it can with a 1 am vote, but no call has been made) question of whether we are keeping original staffing plan or shifting has not yet been addressed :{
My weekend so far: Friday morning I accepted an internal transfer to a very cool sister company while DH felt crappy and stayed in bed all day. Yesterday DH was formally diagnosed with flu, so I spent the rest of the day driving to every pharmacy in town trying to find one who could fill the kids Tamiflu prescription (and intermittently calling the pediatrician and the insurance company to get the prescription transferred) . The only place who had any in stock only had one dose left of the generic, so that was expensive. Today I decided to take the three healthy family members to see Coco again because good lord we needed a break, and on the way there I was pulled over for having an expired inspection (which I kind of knew about, I just hadn't gotten around to it yet). So I spent an hour finding the only car place open on Sundays and now I'm waiting for them to finish up.
And I'm hoping the reason I feel shitty is because Tamiflu has side effects and I'm exhausted, and not because I have the flu.
Good lord, Jess.
How do you feel about the job?
Exciting about the transfer! Do you have a quarantine area to stay at a distance from poor DH?
Yay transfer! Boo flu.
I ran some errands earlier, but it is crazy crazy windy here, and I am having a hard time motivating to get things done (none of the errands were really *necessary* stuff...)
New job is going to be good, I think!
I don't have a quarantine zone, just prophylactic Tamiflu, handwashing, and hope.
Yay on the new job! Not so yay on the Tamiflu side effects.
Is your job in the city, Jess? Or at least a better commute?
