Good lord, Jess.
How do you feel about the job?

Good lord, Jess.
How do you feel about the job?
Exciting about the transfer! Do you have a quarantine area to stay at a distance from poor DH?
Yay transfer! Boo flu.
I ran some errands earlier, but it is crazy crazy windy here, and I am having a hard time motivating to get things done (none of the errands were really *necessary* stuff...)
New job is going to be good, I think!
I don't have a quarantine zone, just prophylactic Tamiflu, handwashing, and hope.
Yay on the new job! Not so yay on the Tamiflu side effects.
Is your job in the city, Jess? Or at least a better commute?
Yay new job! Boo flu!
I've been pretending I might not watch it, but I just set my DVR to record The Resident, which does not look good per se, but Matt Czuchry, Emily Van Camp, AND Melina Kanakaredes??
The ads for that look like the distilled parody of all fake medicals shows ever.
Yeah, I watched a screener and the promos don't lie. It wasn't good, but the cast was. The characters are uber stock characters. Czuchry's character is a non-funny Dr. Cox (Scrubs) or perhaps a young Dr. House. The old doctor is a Kelso, but * actually evil.
It wasn't a torturous hour of mindless entertainment, because of the acting, but I don't think I'll turn in regularly, unless they rework a whole lot.
There was a funny little House shout-out early on... * someone rattles a bunch of symptoms off at Czuchry's character and he says, "It's Lupus."
I never watched House, so I think I only caught it because of the Buffistas. * Yes, I know with House it's never Lupus.
Good luck with the job, Jess. I hope you feel better.
Is your job in the city, Jess? Or at least a better commute?
Yep, it's in Manhattan. On nice days, within walking distance of GCT (which takes longer but is nicer than either being in the car or on the subway). Fastest possible commute if the trains line up is exactly an hour door to door, which is a huge improvement!
I hope the new job lives up to promise and the flu skips you.
I *still* don't know what I'm working on tomorrow. If govt reopens, a later start to the exercise, but I need to know how we are defining shifts (conventional or that other schedule they sent out) and if we're shifting the staffing schedule by 2 days or not. Only reply I got was from another wondering the same, complimenting me on my refined sarcasm. Damnit, I edited that email hard. He knows me well.
