After 2 and a half months, I FINALLY have organizational email for the theatre. I have gone on a Sign Up For All The Things spree! I only have a couple more things to sign up for, and for those I needs info that's at the office.
And in a little bit, I go march.
I think I'm going to order a new dining room table and chairs today. How much should I worry about matching the wood on the chair legs to the wood of the table? Ie, can I get these with this? Or should I think harder about this table?
I think the unmatching legs might bug after a while, although I love that first table. Would these chairs be too modern for you> [link]
They are saying LA's turnout was 600,000. Last year it was 750,000.
I love those chairs, Scrappy! They are twice as expensive, but how often am I going to buy chairs?
Jesse, I can't comment on style - I have not color sense - however I spent my childhood in a house with modern chairs like the ones Scrappy posted and those legs sticking out are a real stubbed toe hazard. It might not be an issue if you can push them all the way under the table or always wear shoes, but I have way too many memories of banging a toe against and chair leg that jutted out the way they do and hopping up and down and cussing.
Timelies all!
Another quiet Sunday here.

Aw, poor little toes. Thanks for the tip, though!
But maybe those cool chairs with the lighter table? Contrasting with the medium-dark wood trim in the room? Oy. This is why I'm still using my grandmother's kitchen table as my dining room table.
I'm with bennet on splayed chair and table legs that project beyond the tabletop/chair seat. Ditto bed platforms with sharp corners that project beyond the mattress. Some of us have deficient spacial awareness and also don't pay attention to where we're going.
If that's not you, though, I love the lines of Scrappy's chair. And it looks comfy.
I have short legs, and my feet often don't reach the floor. And so, having the chair edge cut into the backs of my legs is unpleasant through a meal, unbearable if people sit and kibbitz post-meal. So I'm usually looking for a waterfall edge on a chair seat, to ease that sharp angle.
ETA: My house is mostly family pieces, from different vintages, or flatpack stuff, and the woods are...hem, an eclectic mix. Mixed woods don't bother me, but I know they do annoy some people. Just my two cents. I'm sure any of those choices would blend and look well together, Jesse.

I just live with the bruise on my shin.
