believe it or not he is kinda late getting his license. 1) I made him wait until 16 to get the learner's permit. 2) He could have gone to take the test for license in October.
He will be 17!!! in April. I believe it because I see him everyday, but HOLY HELL.
OTOH - Graduation day is June 1, 2019 AND I CANNOT WAIT!!! 529 days!! He MUST know what he is doing post graduation BY THEN, so I will know also. Move date out of Texas will be either Labor Day weekend 2019 or 2020!!
I like a plan.
This is not how I learned that story...
Yeah, I was thinking something different too.
....and the Maccabees rejoiced to discover that the off-brand AA batteries they found in the back of the junk drawer powered the menorah for 8 days, giving Judah the time he needed to drive over to CVS and buy a replacement AC adapter...
SEVENTEEN! Dang. Woo plan!
Y'all don't know the miracle of the AA batteries? ETA of course Jess does
Perfect timing for this convo!
....M got here yesterday night, and I came here to flail about how he now has ACTUAL ROUGH MAN STUBBLE, not fuzz, and when I said that he will rough up girls' faces with it and to be careful (he's het), he joked that's he's GOTTEN MIXED REVIEWS ON IT, and HOMG I am screaming internally and also I am giving him beginner's driving lessons starting this break and he might get his KS driver's license this summer and just transfer it when he goes back to DE for the school year.
I am shooketh.
I DID NOT fill out the driving log for Mac as we did it, so now I am fudging dates and whatnot. good times. cramming getting things done before the test tomorrow.
Msbelle currently I'm a seasonal employee. Hopefully they keep me on after the holidays. When I was hired the HR manager said it was the plan. But me being full time or part time he couldnt say. HpweHowever ver part time employees get 401k, dental, vision and a few other things.
I also make $9/hr and have credit card debt but this job isn't a forever job. I've struggled with my confidence about being able to work but my confidence is improving. On the other hand I live in a small town and the options are limited.
Casper is researching colleges (in 9th grade.) Many of you will remember WHEN SHE WAS BORN. She is also taller than most of you (but not me, yet.)
IO how the years go by N my mother has turned into the kind of old people who sends pears from Harry and David, and I have turned into the kind of middle-aged people who likes them.
Mmm, pears. I don't remember when we actually got pears from Harry and David (pretty sure gifts from my grandparents), but we used those boxes to package up gifts for ages. I might still have some holding yarn or notions.
Those pears are freaking amazing tbf.
