Happy to report one of the vets said Gizmo was recovering better than expected after a 24 hour observation period. I got to visit with him today, and he was purring throughout. His lip is all swollen and discolored, but at least it's now back where it belongs on his face.
Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

When we lit the Hanukkah candles last night and tonight, Mr. S started to chant "Happy Birthday", with the occasional "Happy Birthday to you" thrown in. Silly toddler.
When I worked in the day care center, they got me cake for my last day, and all the kids sang "Happy Birthday."
