I used to do freelance copyediting for recipe bloggers. I thought it was so weird they had to tell a little story before they gave the dang recipe.
My very vague and possibly wrong understanding is that they have to have some sort of "original" content so they can get ad and affiliate link revenue.
Those are my "maybe everything isn't hopeless bullshit" moments from today.
Those are good ones! And we need every "maybe everything isn't hopeless bullshit" moment that we can get.
I was supposed to have a vaca day today, but I left 1.5 hours early yesterday with some things undone so I popped in. Turns out the other 2 office people are at training and boss did not come in to help, so one guy was trying to cover it all. I stayed, planned to leave at lunch. A million mistakes were found, I did not leave. Now the other guy has gone to lunch and only a very new yardhsnd is left outside here, so I don't feel like I can leave. I am unpleased with these turns of event.
Co-workers got take-out for lunch: "God is good. Fries are great."
That sucks, msbelle. I'm sorry.
I added something to my office wall.

I'm headed home after a five hour meeting.
Timelies all!
When we lit the Hanukkah candles last night and tonight, Mr. S started to chant "Happy Birthday", with the occasional "Happy Birthday to you" thrown in. Silly toddler.(ok, that's redundant)
