Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm so sorry, Suzi.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sorry, Suzi. That's so sad.

Congratulations, Burrell!

msbelle, thanks, I think that's exactly what I need.

I have done much work today yet feel as though I have accomplished nothing.

But I am so happy about the Blue Wave that rolled through several States last night!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, Suzi.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm so sorry, Suzi. An online friend of mine is getting treated for thyroid cancer, and it's just: ARGH. FUck cancer.

I had a pretty good day, because I closed out a project that I had been struggling with since 2007.

Slightly squeamish: Finally finally got a set (20+) of very old (up to 4,000 years old) unaffiliated human remains reburied in a spot where they will be protected indefinitely. They were excavated during construction of the new Bay Bridge, and for complicated legal/political reasons couldn't be handed off to any of the local tribes, and we were stuck holding them until new regulations were promulgated that allowed us to rebury them.

So I went out to the site today and wore a hard hat and carried the boxes to the bottom of a big pit, and watched an excavator very carefully pile gravel and dirt over them. And that is DONE. I'm so fucking relieved.

I would be out drinking a cocktail somewhere, except I'm afraid I caught the nasty cold that's going around (three coworkers and my niece have it), so I'm holed up at home with chamomile tea. I may make a hot toddy later...

What is even happening?

There are still 14 days until Thanksgiving Eve. Why do I suddenly want to watch "Pangs"?

Our wings are not tired.

Ha! Cindy, I had just read that and thought about it being close to watching Pangs time!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

FUCK CANCER always.

I endorse hot toddies whenever possible.

No funny syphilis for Consuela!

What is even happening?

Laura, in my head, the part of Consuela is being played by the cultural exchange center curator who did not ripple nearly enough for Anya's liking.

smonster, maybe it's the syphilis talking, but that's where my head went.

SuziQ, I'm sorry to hear your family is going through this.

Burrell, congrats on your new position (and the trip to Hawaii).

Teppy, congrats on the Clark Gable dream.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's pretty great, Consuela, on several levels. Well done you!

I'm sorry, Suzi.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

There is a film crew starting to set up outside. And based on the parking notices they'll be here until 3am Saturday. I really hope they aren't doing loud night shoots.
