Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

There is a film crew starting to set up outside. And based on the parking notices they'll be here until 3am Saturday. I really hope they aren't doing loud night shoots.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ugh - I messed up $$ calculations for this month even with finding some old regular savings and I'll need to transfer money out of investment savings to cover all of the mandatory expenses. Paycheck just hit today and I will be withdrawn by the middle of next week if I pay the minimum on all credit card bills as well as all the regular bills on their due dates.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Hah, I'm so embedded in this that I missed the obvious Buffy connection!

I think the funny syphilis would have gone to the construction crews that dug them up years ago; Suela's the one putting them back to rest.

Wow Suela that's really interesting! But yes very Pangs related especially in November!

I am still in Japan but kinda ready for it to be over (we'll, ready to be home, not ready to go back to work!)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm glad the remains had someone looking out for them with respect, Consuela.

I'm feeling a bit fannishly adrift. The latest Thor was a blast, but I don't really feel like I'm in any active fannish spaces aside from b.org. LJ culture seems dead and buried, tumblr doesn't seem to be as fannishly fun as it was (unless I'm just not following the right people). Suggestions? Is there some hot new platform that I'm just not aware of?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I hear that, meara. Even fun travel is wearing after a while.

I am looking forward to a good day! Not too many meetings, a nice walk in the afternoon (for work purposes), and my favorite vendor is here for lunch!! Let's hope it all works out.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Good luck, Jesse!

I hope you can enjoy the rest of your trip, meara.

I have no ideas, Calli.

Made it to work early, so I can leave early, yay!

meara - I have loved your travel updates. I spent a couple of weeks in Japan when I was 15 (mumbledecadesmumbleago). I'd love to go back and revisit some of the places I didn't appreciate as much as I would have as an adult.

I keep wanting to find a way to go to Germany. My dad is going there in a couple of weeks. I want to be there for my cousins. But even if I had the travel funds, leaving home right now would be very complicated.

Partly because I dropped Crowley off to be neutered this morning, so he is going to need extra tlc for the next bit.

I do a lot of fannish squeeing on Ravelry of all places. There are all sorts of nooks and crannies over there for non-knitting things.
