I am finally home from work exactly 12 hrs after I left ( and I was working a half hour before that from home.) Things.... .didn't go smoothly. A problem with whitespaces, of all the damned things ( a problem supposedly fixed 10 years ago) and then piss poor and wrong configuration instructions and no one seems to agree about startup procedures and...I'm pretty sure another piece isn't working right still.
I actually had no time to eat beyond a handful of wheat thins.
And I have gone so far past hungry, I'm not going to even bother.
This is a stupid day to be proud of, but I got up, had my meeting, ate a lunch of sausage, green onion, zucchini, mushroom, and brussels sprouts, sat on the couch all day without my back hurting, went to my last physical therapy appointment, came home, and ate chicken and mushroom pasta. I feel accomplished all out of proportion with any actual accomplishment.
I worked 9.5 hours yesterday and 10 today from 7AM to 5PM. Do not like.
But hey, look like might be able to cancel Loki's vet appt Friday. His lip is unswelling.
Gods, I have so much cleanup and documentation to do tomorrow.
Did y'all see this "honest trailer" for STTNG? It's freaking hilarious. Oh man.

Possibly punchy or the cocktail, but it just struck me as tear bringing hilarious while reading my twitter, which is largely local & black twitter, that my problem today was WHITE SPACES. Goddamned white spaces everywhere.
That's great, Dana!
Not so great, long hours workers. Not due to y'all, obviously, but that sounds like no fun at all.
First day at surprise new job went fine. A few computer accesses I need to, like, do work are not set up yet so I spent the whole day with boss #1 (I have 2, no one knows how that will work, we will all find out together) taking notes on what she was doing so when I do have access maybe I will have some idea what to do. Took a half hour so in the morning to find me a chair. Everyone is at sixes and sevens in the whole company, I think.
Will have to get used to the department vibe, it is both quieter and chattier than I am used to. Drive in was OK, drive home was more traffic, which is irritating but par for the course, I guess. Am rewarding myself with a Hatch burger from Habit and Horizon.
Doing it again tomorrow feels challenging but I'm sure I'll manage.
Settling-in~ma, -t! It sounds not too bad so far.
Those are some long-ass days, sara.
In TV theme song news, I had to drive my Sara to school this morning, and on the way home, the DJ on one station was playing not only '70s theme songs, but also "Sunshine Day" from the Brady Bunch. That was an earworm that was slow to die, let me tell you.
