Um, well, we listened to aggressively cheerful music sung by people chosen for their ability to dance. Then we ate cookie dough, and talked about boys.

So my uncle is still in pretty bad shape but his blood pressure has stabilized and he's hanging in there but I just talked to my mom and my dad was in an accident last night. He's not injured, other than a cut on his hand, and thank god the people in the car he hit are fine but arghhhh. He really, really should not be driving!!! It's been worrying me sick. My mom is nervous on the highway and can't really drive at night but is fine driving otherwise. The car he was in is totaled but they have another. My mom said he's worried they'll take his licence away but I'm wondering if that would be better. Ugh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's so scary, Lisa. Glad things aren't worse, I guess.

Yeah, definitely. I know it's hard to give up the independence but they have options. And, while they aren't in a bustling urban center, they aren't isolated by any means. There's a grocery store across the street and a bus line that runs nearby. They can take the train down here. They can get cabs. He just feels like he's letting people down by not being able to do everything he used to.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's gotta be hard to give up that sense of independence, but he needs to be safe. I'm so glad he's okay!

I'm glad he's ok & uncle is doing better. Ack.

So many random road closures today. I'm not getting in my car again today!

Robot dating update: this dude is still texting me when I haven't replied all week.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Robots are very persistent.

Apparently! I should just block him, but I'm morbidly curious.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Lisah, good news for your uncle. I'm glad you Dad made it through the accident ok and I feel you on kinda hoping they take his license. I don't want to be one of "those" drivers when I am older but I also treasure my independence and can't currently imagine making that choice for myself.

Jesse, why discriminate against a robot. Talk him up big time and see what happens.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

(((lisah))) That's a tough nut to crack.

Weirdly fascinated by the date-bot. Any signs of self-awareness in the monologue?
