Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's gotta be hard to give up that sense of independence, but he needs to be safe. I'm so glad he's okay!

I'm glad he's ok & uncle is doing better. Ack.

So many random road closures today. I'm not getting in my car again today!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Robot dating update: this dude is still texting me when I haven't replied all week.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Robots are very persistent.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently! I should just block him, but I'm morbidly curious.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Lisah, good news for your uncle. I'm glad you Dad made it through the accident ok and I feel you on kinda hoping they take his license. I don't want to be one of "those" drivers when I am older but I also treasure my independence and can't currently imagine making that choice for myself.

Jesse, why discriminate against a robot. Talk him up big time and see what happens.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

(((lisah))) That's a tough nut to crack.

Weirdly fascinated by the date-bot. Any signs of self-awareness in the monologue?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So, Emmett is 21 today.

I'm a little anxious because I know his friends are taking him out on a debauch tonight and that didn't work out so well for him at his HS Junior Prom.

In the last year and a half both Emmett and Matilda have both snapped into focus in a new way. Emmett is definitely becoming his adult self (instead of teenager).

And Matilda's pre-teen post-grade-school has come to the fore. Showing more strength and confidence in herself.

I always tell my kids that I'm lucky to be their father and I feel that way. Really love them. Really proud of them. Really enjoy their company.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, David, that's a really nice sentiment.

I remember my 21st. I was working follow spot at the theater, so at the stroke of midnight, they made me a drink, on the clock, and then we went out after at about 3am for more. And then I worked my other day job at 7. Ah, youth.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The drinking age was 18 in Wisconsin when I turned 18. I didn't drink at all when I was in high school because I was alway the one driving. Didn't get drunk until I started college.
