I'm so evil and... skanky. And I think I'm kinda gay.

And now I need to shower, cause I just rolled out of bed & went to market & I have eight million stops to make this errand run and I'm totally too grungy/not awake enough to cope with that yet.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I was out of milk for coffee and ended up making a run to the local hippie co-op first thing, nabbing a few other things while I was there. (Pre-coffee shopping--I can't wait to see what I actually bought after the caffeine kicks in.) Good thing I went early. There's a music festival and the Big Game with the local college's main rival here this afternoon, so getting around is gonna be a fuster cluck. This looks like a good day to do the rest of my running about in the small town 15 miles away.

So my uncle is still in pretty bad shape but his blood pressure has stabilized and he's hanging in there but I just talked to my mom and my dad was in an accident last night. He's not injured, other than a cut on his hand, and thank god the people in the car he hit are fine but arghhhh. He really, really should not be driving!!! It's been worrying me sick. My mom is nervous on the highway and can't really drive at night but is fine driving otherwise. The car he was in is totaled but they have another. My mom said he's worried they'll take his licence away but I'm wondering if that would be better. Ugh.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That's so scary, Lisa. Glad things aren't worse, I guess.

Yeah, definitely. I know it's hard to give up the independence but they have options. And, while they aren't in a bustling urban center, they aren't isolated by any means. There's a grocery store across the street and a bus line that runs nearby. They can take the train down here. They can get cabs. He just feels like he's letting people down by not being able to do everything he used to.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

It's gotta be hard to give up that sense of independence, but he needs to be safe. I'm so glad he's okay!

I'm glad he's ok & uncle is doing better. Ack.

So many random road closures today. I'm not getting in my car again today!

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Robots are very persistent.

Apparently! I should just block him, but I'm morbidly curious.
