Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Very cute socks!

Went out for drinks with coworkers as a bonus voyage to my one work friend who is going to start commuting to the city. More informative about office politics than I expected, but also fun. 5k in the morning, whee.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Cute socks!

Yeah, RVing requires either wanting to be near where you parked, the ability to walk a lot, or towing a spare vehicle. Sorry you couldn't get the most out of Frankenmuth. Zehnder's chicken dinner is pretty good. Maybe not good enough to wait in the lines they usually have, but good nonetheless. It's sort of a family funeral tradition. Many of my family members were buried in a cemetery outside of Saginaw, and then the rest of us would drive down to Frankenmuth for Zehnder's. It's a cheerier tradition than it sounds.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So! There's a new bagel and donut place near me, and the bagels are pretty legit! For one thing, they had salt bagels! Next time, I'll check if the "everything" includes salt.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

They had one TV in the living room, one in the bedroom and one on the outside. I guess so when you are eating outside at the campsite, you don't actually have to chat or look at nature or anything. We didn't watch any.

We plan to go back to Frankenmuth when my Mom visits, as she had the chicken dinner there when she was a little girl, in the 1930s!

Crap, pool closed. Guess I gotta get started on the mountain of laundry and housecleaning.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Earlier today, I walked by a sign for our mayor's re-election, and wondered why he bothered to print up signs, because how is anyone running against him? And then I just got the sponsored Facebook ad for his opponent. So now I know!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary and I took turns today wrangling Mr. S. Lots of running around.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Am in my new apartment. Squeaky took the trip well, but she has yet to some out of her carrier.

And for the first time in my life, I'm a suburbanite!

Congrats! Cats are weird. Loki is usually violently ready to get out of the carrier when we get home, but last night I had to bring him home in a ginormous borrowed hard carrier from the vet because he'd peed so freaking much in the soft carrier I took him in , it was soaked (this is a new thing. It's fucking annoying.) Anyway, he made his usual frenzied attempts at escape, but when I opened the door, damn cat wouldn't come out. It took Pumpkin going IN with him to evict.
