Timelies all!

I am sort of coming in at the end, so I know that I owe Suela ~ma about her BIL, and Pix and Drew House ~ma, and I am so glad Brendon made it up here to safety. I am sure there is so much more I don't remember.

I went to my mom's (rented a car) to pull weeds and look for a dead bird. I think the bird trapped in her basement must have escaped, because I did not find a body. Pulling weeds was fun, but my mom just tends to chop everything off so you don't see the weed, which contributes to her problem! This was Sunday, and my thigh muscles are still protesting, although I had grand satisfaction about pulling out little trees that started to grow. SOme of them she had cut off so many times that the root was a couple of inches thick!

We went and saw my uncle- I think he is doing as well as can be expected. He is annoyed by his lack of memory/brain function. My mom wanted to leave far before me-- I think it is hard for her as she sees her own death, and less hard for me.

Also ( and would never post this elsewhere) I got some CBD rub for my hip which kills me. I can't find anyone else with this side effect, but I now have a rash in the crease between my leg and body (where I have a lot of pain). I think it is because I have lost weight and have a skin flap, so it just sort of festers and I am discontinuing there and keeping it up on my outer thigh where it seems to help-- any recs?

Sophia, Desitin diaper rash cream does wonders for my skin when I get a heat or chafing induced rash.

Can I just say that I am so very impressed with those of you who have the fortitude to rationally carry on arguments on the internet. Or at all, really. In person is even worse. I can do the pro/con discussions and explore issues from multiple points of view but I really hate arguing. It leaves me agitated and weary at the same time. Right now one dude has annoyed me enough that I'm glad my cats are female just so there isn't a dick in the house.

My idiot brother is moody and grumpy because he wants to go home and "we won't let him" despite the fact that all roads leading that way are closed! Guess he thinks they will make an exception for him.

NPR had a couple of those types of folks on yesterday. One guy said "I evacuated because they told me that I had to, and now they won't let me back. Next time, I'm not leaving!"

Not been a good few weeks. Made worse tonight by GI issues after eating ice cream. Can one develop lactose intolerance in their 40s? This is just adding insult to injury. And I'm getting sick. The universe can go to hell.
