In much better news, a coworker got married over the weekend, and she just sent out the nicest assortment of ~10 photos. I love it! I love not having to ask her to see them, I love not having to look at them with her providing commentary, I love seeing them! So I wouldn't have thought of it, but that is my new recommendation -- proactively sending out wedding pictures. Who knew?

Lol, jesse. I hadn't thought of it that way but sure! Usually I'm more about baby photos though.
Jess that's kind of awful!! I hope she stays safe.
Meanwhile I have a huge client deadline a week from Monday and was all proud we should probably make it...but now we likely won't. Partly because the client is not cooperating with reviewing stuff on time, and partly because it involves someone flying to South Carolina on Monday/Tuesday. Which seems unlikely now.
Note to self: next time co-worker greets me with "have you ever read something so horrible that you just had to share it with someone" just turn around and leave. Don't put your stuff down, don't engage in any way.
Ooops, good advice, up there with don't read the comments.

We had a "quick meeting" about the hiring freeze etc. They are NOT backfilling the positions of the people leaving. Nobody knows anything about when anything will happen or what revenue/cost reduction numbers we are looking for. On the whole, I feel worse about the whole situation than before the meeting and like I should start polishing my resume. It would be really hard to overstate how much I do not want be looking for a new job now.
Meeting also touched on the ongoing hurricanes and how they impact our business and I still am pretty much unable to keep it together when hurrican relief discussions happen in my general vicinity, so I've been spending a lot of energy on not crying.
This is a stupid day.
~ma for your dad, Kate.
I have friends in St. John. Haven't heard from them since 5am. They're probably okay, but I'm worried. I'm worried about everyone and everything today. Usually work is a good distraction from my anxiety, but not today.
I have taken two naps today, and neither of them have made me feel any less tired.
