~ma for your dad, Kate.
I have friends in St. John. Haven't heard from them since 5am. They're probably okay, but I'm worried. I'm worried about everyone and everything today. Usually work is a good distraction from my anxiety, but not today.

I have taken two naps today, and neither of them have made me feel any less tired.
~ma to everyone with loved ones they haven't heard from, or in the path of the oncoming hurricane.
health ~ma to hippo.
-t, I'm sorry your day is stupid. I hope you don't have to look for a job.
Turns out my niece is not evacuating, because her husband wants to stay put. I'm kind of flipping out. But I have to rush out the door to physical therapy, so I am flipping out and running around like a maniac, which I guess is better than sitting at home and obsessing.
hippo~health~ma in abundance
Sorry about the niece not leaving, amyth. My kids are staying. GF's dad can't leave because he works for a utility company, so mom won't leave either. So son and GF will stay too. She has an active EMT license so they figure they can be helpful volunteers. Doesn't please me, but I understand and would do the same in their situation. Other son, who knows. Won't know until tomorrow. DH still plans to leave but is still battening.
Sorry the day is so stupid, -t.
My day has gotten better, ftr. I have popcorn and work has kept me too busy to worry about anything else.
I hope all y'all's people are safe and check in to tell you so soon.
Heard from my sister - BiL took the dog and evacuated to stay with friends. She's in the shelter with plenty of food and water, and shutters on all the windows.
In between checking on here and on my other Fla friends, the movers got here (only four hours late) and are unloading our stuff right now. Almost done. I usually get through packing and moving fine and melt down when unpacking starts, so we'll see how tomorrow goes.
Easy unpacking~ma, Scrappy! Yay stuff!
Timelies all!
~ma to all those in the path of Irma.
The left earpiece of my glasses broke off at the hinge, so after dinner I will head over to My Eye Doctor(where I got them) to see what can be done.
