Thanks, friends. He's probably going to be fine, but I can't help worrying. Since he started feeling lousy this weekend, each update from my mom has been more bad news than good, so it's got me on edge. Hoping the IV antibiotics start working their miracle soon.

Aw, man, two of my work friends are leaving. Both are because they are going to better positions elsewhere, but still a bummer for me. Especially as I don't know how the hiring freeze will affect backfilling their positions. Small potatoes compared to the terraforming, etc., but still a drag.

Oh please, no. Mt. Baker is sleepy, but active. We're above tsunami level, and at the moment away from the fires, though I looked directly at the sun earlier and the sky is lemon yellow and grey. But Baker is in easy reach, and I prefer not, thanks.
H is in Charlotte, NC, with his mom and his brother, released this morning after cancer surgery. We're both apocalypse-adjacent, on opposite coasts.
