Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I'm glad I only made one serving, because I have notes to myself for tomorrow, but the flatbread situation was delicious! I cooked up bacon and onions and kale and put them on top of goat cheese on the naan and then some pinenuts. MMM MMM GOOD.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm not always here, but when I can't get here, I don't like it at all.

I updated my work computer to Win10, and afterwards I wasn't getting work email reliably AND I couldn't get here (because the cache had been dumped). GUESS WHICH ONE BOTHERED ME MORE.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S and I were in the kitchen waiting for Gary to get home so we could go out to dinner with my FIL. Mr. S was standing up on one of the chairs and I was sitting on the next chair. He leans to grab at something and his chair starts to fall over. I reach to grab something to stop his fall and the chair whacks me across the knuckles. End result: I have a bunch of bruising on the back of my right hand. I'm sure it'll be just lovely tomorrow....

I have accidentally called so many of my friends and neighbors today, it isn't funny. And I'm iwhatever savvy! Anyway, think I have most sorted out. Now I need a case because this damn thing is so small and light, I will fumble it. (Iphone6, not the s or whatever, in case you're wondering, the quiet market re-infiltrator.)

Oh, thank god. I spent the last 2 days blowing off my Real Work (tm) and frantically writing my Narnia Fic Exchange story in a tiny Notepad window at work. And today Snacky has extended the deadline for TWO WHOLE WEEKS.

You know what this means? COOKIES tonight! And maybe some GBBO.

Compassionately intolerant

Coming late to the Civil War conversation but I never realized until recently that my uni Civil War course was all about industrialism. Trade, unequal resources, capitalist greed.

It's not that slavery wasn't mentioned, but now that I think of it, I did really poorly in that class (despite being a good student) because I just didn't understand what was going on. I don't mean to say that I knew better. I absolutely did not, but the A+B=C of it didn't add up.

In re: corn: The farmers' market across the street from me has a special $1 per pound sale on summer Sunday afternoons. 4 ears of corn for a dollar.

I've been putting it on everything!

I'm totally getting the SE (the quiet market re-infiltrator) because I LOVE the size of it. The smaller the smartphone, the better.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have the SE mostly because I didn't want to get all new cases. And now I carry it around careless all the time. But it is a comfortable size in my hand.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I kind of hate my phone case, because it makes the phone so clunky but I'm scared to take it out! (And now have my transit pass and work ID in a holder attached the case, which is super convenient.)

Can you attach the case to you if you don't have a pocket? If so, that sounds close to ideal. My main reason for not using a case is that I compulsively plug my phone into a charger whenever possible and the case gets in the way of that.
