Timelies all!
Drove from Ottawa to Toronto today, with a stop to meet a friend and her wife(who we met once, in 2005) for lunch. Awful traffic on 401 in many spots. To top it all off, Mr. S was being more unruly than usual at dinner, and now he won't go to bed.
Did I mention it's our anniversary today?

reversible, no rubber backing. The people I nannied for a million years ago in NY had ones like this and I liked them so much more than the polyester rubber backed things I grew up with. They are old and stained and I just keep using them. They are GREAT for soaking up water spills also.

I'm being a bad neighbor because it's National Night Out and I'm huddled over my laptop. I did walk through the gathering and let the kids all pet my dog, though, which counts for something.
I also ate too much pasta and want to go to sleeeeep.
I didn't even check if my hood had a national night out going on (the street behind me has a few times) but went to a friend's for dinner and didn't see one on her block.
