Orientation is two weeks from today. I am really hating that my summer is almost over this year -- sometimes I look forward to the return of the students, but I'd really rather have another couple of weeks without them.
So, should I work as the Editor of a journal today or as the supervisor of 10 people who need annual reviews written. Both are big onerous tasks that will take days, and both are on the same deadline this year, because of course they are...

I have just finished typing in the names and ID numbers and all the other little header information into the annual reports. It's a great use of my time. Grumble. At least now I can get to the more substantive stuff.
