I brought a dog home from the city animal shelter since I was approved for their foster and borrow a buddy program.
This little guy, Lucky [link]
I first took him to my office because I had something I needed to do and he pooped and peed in the office - OOOPS. I cleaned it all up, actually got paper towels under him as he started to pee, so there was not much there, but I should remember that Bailey has to go after every car ride also.
So we are home now and he is smelling ALL THE THINGS, and Bailey has been ok by him once and then growled at him as he approached her area another time. We are keeping them separate for the next hour or so and then re-introduce.
Right now he just wants to be out in the yard, which as a pound dog, I guess I understand, but is is 102 out there, so I am keeping an eye on him.
Timelies all!
It's been raining a ridiculous amount here today. Supposed to go until tomorrow afternoon. We're heading on our vacation after dinner. Fun, fun, fun. (although once we leave Maryland things should be drier)
Aw, Lucky!!
Alexandra Petri, national treasure.
This is a true fact. Thing I learned: she says her last name "pee-try." BTW, I learned that on Sam Sanders's new podcast, which if you don't listen to any other podcasts, you should listen to the last few minutes of the Friday episodes, because listeners call in to share the best thing that happened to them that week, and it has made me cry every time.
he is smol, and was very shaky, but now is calm.
He is either sleeping or very close to it, right by me in my chair. Puppers are so tired being in the shelter, they crash once they settle down at a foster place.
Adorable! msbelle.
In positive news about difficult aging parents, my mother got fitted for a test hearing aid today. I guess my sister's nagging worked. I hope she likes it and keeps it.
This was the other dog I almost brought home [link]
I would be afraid to feed Lucky after midnight.
