I'm sorta, kinda, soon-but not quite yet, in the market for a doggo. I think I want a puppy that will grow to a medium-small to medium sized dog. I just...I love collies and aussies, but I don't have a good running yard for them and they need to get tired out daily. There are tons of pits that need homes, but my HOA, city, and county all make ownership of a pit illegal. Neighbors have tried adopting one calling it a mix and they still got called out by someone and they had to give it back.
I'm traveling a bit in August, so to be fair I'd want to wait until I'm back to I can give the little monster my full attention.
This was the other dog I almost brought home [link]
That face!
However, a sad face is how I ended up with Oz. And he was a rough ride at first. He still occasionally pulls his sad/worried face and I cannot resist it.
Lucky has moved to the chair next to me, flipped the chair cover over to where it does not smell like Bailey and has been sleeping. He is just super content and like I would be if all of a sudden I got plopped in a comfy hotel room.
It makes me cry every time too! Plus I sort of imagine Sam Sanders as Sam Wilson
Oh shit, so do I. I didn't even realize!
Aww, pupper!
My mom's cousin died a few months ago, and another cousin just emailed me to ask if I knew her Hebrew name. None of her kids knew it, and my mom said that was the kind of information that I'd probably have in my genealogy files. (I did have it.) It makes me kind of sad that none of her kids knew her Hebrew name -- like, it feels like a tradition dying out, or something. (They needed her Hebrew name for her gravestone.)
It's good that that you had it, though.
True story, presented as a clickbait headline: Today, I Punched the Maid of Honor at the Wedding We Attended.
Less clickbait-y explanation: I was about to take a selfie with Tim, and the maid of honor ran up RIGHT behind us to photobomb, but I didn't hear her at all, and I wanted Tim to be smooshed closer to me, so I went to throw my arm around Tim's shoulder...and whacked the maid of honor right in the face, because I didn't know she was there.
Lesson: photobomb at your own risk, folks. (As it turned out, I didn't hit her very hard, and she just laughed as soon as it happened, so no hard feelings. But dang. Plus, I think it's HILARIOUS that I hit the maid of honor at a wedding without being drunk and in a fistfight.)
Timelies all!
It's been rather quiet on the board today.
We are in Ottawa now, after driving from Harrisburg. At least this hotel has a crib for Mr. S. (The hotel we were in last night didn't have one available, which made putting Mr. S to bed very interesting.)
Well, the chore board experiment is going okay. One of the four chores the kids picked is done, but my daughter was out most of the day so that's actually not bad. I knocked off nine chores and have seven left, but I will probably have to punt on four or so because my wife needs my help for work stuff tomorrow.
You did 7 chores and 1 of your kids did 1? That is not very good distribution. I am sorry if this has been asked before but does your wife do chores? I remember you saying she drives the kids places.
