I'm on a news blackout.
I've seen 4 momma grizzlies and cavorting twins cubs, 3 momma moose with twin calves, countless caribou, some pooping for the cameras, sheeps, a couple of teen moose behaving badly (one was ripping up a road construction stake and flinging it around and challenging a seriously huge tonka-esque dump truck!) and really cool magpies and ptarmigan and pika that bark like sneakers on a gym floor.
I've almost pissed myself laughing in an atv driven by my SIL, biked 15ish miles after not being on a bike in a decade, and still not seen Denali due to weather. Tomorrow, eco, zip line, god help me.
We're all having our moments, but we're also having fun.
But for the record, the Denali National Park rangers are doubling down hard on conservation, climate change. I seriously haven't heard such strident messaging in the parks ever.
Also just saw 2 snow hares fighting because it is 1 am and so damned light.
Sounds like a wonderful trip, sarameg!
Much health~ma to your mom's friend, askye.
All good things, sarameg! Enjoy.
Sounds amazing, sarameg!
Best health to your friend, askye.
Three hours later, and I'm finally able to tear myself away from AAM. Damn you, Jesse.
You are welcome!
I've developed a plan for more chore delegation to the kids. I'm going to use a magnetic white board that I'll divide into four sections: To Do, Daughter, Son, and Done. Then I'm going to stick a bunch of magnets in 'TO DO' and my kids get to chose two to move into their boxes and that's what they have to do during the weekend. The magnets will be color-coded and the rule will be that you can't take two of the same color. Then I basically do everything that's left.
These are the magnets I've designed so far:

Nice! I like this plan. The magnets look great.
My thinking is that this make what they have to do very clear while giving them some agency. Also, they get to see that I'm still doing more chores then they are so they can't complain :)
How far do I have to scroll in AAM before it's more than just people arguing about the definition of millennial?
