Tomorrow is Founders Day at my school. My girls school, whose colors are suffragette purple and green (from the original U.K. Suffragettes), is going to try to celebrate the founding of our feminist school 21 years ago and celebrate each senior, and I honestly don't know how the fuck we will get through it if Trump wins.
I have to stay awake and stay hopeful. I have to.
I don't know enough to rationally despair and I am clinging to that. I'm just worried.
And over on FB, I've got a teenage friend who is Black and bi and about to move to Florida because his dad is there and he can't afford NYC any longer, and he is panic attacking and no longer wanting to live because he feels so particularly, personally repudiated. What the fuck are we supposed to tell any of them?
Tell him to move to Florida, vote as soon as he can, and drag all his like-minded friends to the polls with him!
I had to turn off CNN, now watching a dumb movie - not even sure of the name of it. I don't expect sleep in my near future, but I just can't watch the talking heads any more.
