And over on FB, I've got a teenage friend who is Black and bi and about to move to Florida because his dad is there and he can't afford NYC any longer, and he is panic attacking and no longer wanting to live because he feels so particularly, personally repudiated. What the fuck are we supposed to tell any of them?
Tell him to move to Florida, vote as soon as he can, and drag all his like-minded friends to the polls with him!
I had to turn off CNN, now watching a dumb movie - not even sure of the name of it. I don't expect sleep in my near future, but I just can't watch the talking heads any more.

Turns out Nate Silver was wrong after all. Just not the way everybody thought.

New Hampshire just flipped Blue by 18 votes. 21% of the vote remaining.
So I guess a lot of people lied to pollsters, refused to talk to pollsters, or were ignored by pollsters.
I suspect a lot of people from rural areas are coming to the polls who don't normally vote or get considered by pollsters at all, as happened in 2004.
