So I guess a lot of people lied to pollsters, refused to talk to pollsters, or were ignored by pollsters.

I suspect a lot of people from rural areas are coming to the polls who don't normally vote or get considered by pollsters at all, as happened in 2004.

Yeah, it sounds like a lot of people voted for Trump felt guilty about it.

Honestly, I want to give the biggest "fuck you" to all the Republicans who knew Trump was a disaster waiting to happen but still supported him anyway or just hedged instead of speaking out against him.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yeah, it sounds like a lot of people voted for Trump felt guilty about it.

What? Fucking hell. What is wrong with people?

Oh, god, it is Brexit, but without a Parliament to say "Oh, hell, no."

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

What the fuck are we supposed to tell any of them?

What we tell them is that the people who love us will continue to do so. And the strangers will most likely remain strangers. That while this casts light on the meanness and the ugliness of our country, in truth the community we build will continue to sustain us in some way. That as dark and depressing as this is, there are at least half the people in any given place that do want you to feel safe, to feel hopeful and to feel free.

After you console the kids, then you take all of the despair, funnel it into rage and do something productive, whatever that might be.

California is sending the second black senator to DC. That's something. Maybe we need to take a page from the tea party and start advocating as much as humanly possible right now for serious change.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Yeah, it sounds like a lot of people voted for Trump felt guilty about it.

Guilt isn't gonna cut it when we no longer have a functional society.

I do wonder how many people voted for Trump to thumb their nose at Hillary but didn't actually want him to win.
