Our wings are not tired.

Apparently the repeal idea has already collapsed:

As much as I am relieved that they won't get this through for the people it would harm so badly, my first thought was Trump and McConnell must be seriously frustrated and pissed off. This pleases me. I can hardly recognize myself I have become so petty.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I can hardly recognize myself I have become so petty.

After the election, petty is all I have.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I was going to say, I'm so petty that doesn't even register as petty to me. Just a little splash of pure righteous joy.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Where I'm severely tested is my commitment to not wishing harm on others. I want those miserable cretins to suffer. Sometimes even my standard enemy wish, the Angel revenge (without the sex clause), isn't enough. I want boils and blinding torment, and that makes me feel like a horrible person.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I hope Trump is having a tantrum and calling everyone names.

I used to say, back around 2000-2008, that the only person I hated was George W. Bush.

That wasn't hate. What I felt for him pales in comparison to how I feel about Trump and the GOP-led Congress, especially McConnell and Ryan.

I am quite sure he is having tantrums and calling names, which surely will further contribute to the leaking sieve that the White House has become.

Oh I was devastated over the Bush presidency, but I still felt that the Bush family had some concept of what public service meant. Maybe didn't put it before personal benefit all the time, but at least knew what it meant. The Trump family is all themselves all the time with no notion of what good of the country might possible mean. And no interest in finding out.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Trump makes George W. Bush look like a statesman. That, if nothing else, would make me despise 45. Because I nursed a level of contempt for the Shrub in Chief that could be seen from the ISS.

However, I'm beginning to cherish Trump's staggering levels of incompetence, because a competent leader might be able to push some of the Republicans' vile initiatives through. Stay dolt, ponyboy. Stay dolt.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I've felt from the start his incompetence is the only thing that might save us. Though saving is too strong a word. Holding back utter catastrophe, maybe.
