And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh Steph, how horrible for your family. I'm so sorry.

PS, nobody who has ever had any kind of experience with a car crash should listen to the first ep of the new season of Invisibilia while driving. (I, unwarned, listened to it on my commute, on which, I drove past the immediate aftermath of an obviously fatal accident. Crying and the NJ Turnpike are not a supersafe combination.)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Teppy, I'm so sorry.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Success: made it on the train from Prague to Vienna, and to the hotel, which seems great.

Unsuccessful: never made a reservation for the restaurant Husband's parents recommended, and it is booked for the entire time we're here. The receptionist at the hotel was taken aback.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teppy, I'm so very sorry. Tons of ~ma for you and yours.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Churched. Lunch out for Father's Day. THE CHILD SPOKE WITH PEOPLE AND ENGAGED!!!!

Now, house-cleaning weekend continues:

1st round of dealing with clothes: 80% of things in closet are now hanging up. Pulled out a dress, 3 skirts, and a purse to get rid of. Pulled out several winter items to put into storage. Drawers are organized and I pulled out 7 t-shirts to get rid of.

The mess that is my craft closet, I grabbed two pieces of fabric (multiple yards each) to get rid of. There is a ton more in that closet that needs to go.

I am not sure if y'all saw the dishes I posted on FB. I know it says I won't mail, but I will for b.org people if those are what anyone here has and needs some items.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I read that quickly and thought Mac was engaged to be married! That was shocking!

No surprise, I love the franciscan '70s pattern, but it isn't one I currently have, so I won't start a new one. But if anyone sees any Mikasa Sunflower or Syracuse China in yellow [link]

I am super duper bored. I think I say this every year, but when I am finished with theatre for the year, I have about a month of relief, and then NOTHING TO DO. I can't keep up friendships throughout the year, so in the summers I just have the one friend. And I don't drive. Yesterday I went to see a big Rose garden by myself, which was nice, but today it is hot and thunderstormy and I am stuck inside.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Apparently walking tours are what I do now -- after all walking tours on vacation, I just did one at a local cemetery, which was super interesting! So maybe that is my new thing?
