Mr. S has been whiny since we got home. And yet, more mature than Trump.

So I think the #6-8 of hottest heads of state are overrated (Albania, Iceland, and Greece). But number 10, from Benin? Smoking hot, 19 from Ghana should also be higher. As should 28, Slovenia. 45, Argentina? He's got a little something going on. Maybe just that the photo they have of him isn't in a suit and tie. But still. How does the Taoswhateve of Ireland rank below the pope, Prince Albert of Monaco, and Shinzo Abe of Japan? The Emperor of Japan is hotter than Shinzo Abe even if he's very old.

And I dig 72, from a Belgium, with his hipster glasses and goatee. Maybe not competition of Trudeau, but definitely higher than 72!

Hivemind - has anyone taken an online class NOT toward s degree or certificate and not part of a multi-class program. I am looking for like a continuing ed thing, cheap, but something that would require me actually doing homework.

I've done classes on both Coursera and EdX (mostly palaeontology on the former, Chinese history on the latter. I think Hil's used another MOOC provider too.

Argh. My brother finally got ahold of my uncle. My aunt is in bad shape and doesn't want to see anyone besides my uncle. She doesn't know my sister and I are on our way there. My uncle will talk to her and find out if she wants to see us.

At least my uncle wants to see us and is happy we'll be there. But I may have some spare time to visit bay-area folks. I posted something to f2f.

Coursera is no longer entirely free. You can watch most of the videos and read the text, but if you want to take the graded assessments, you'll have to pay something.

That's very detailed, meara! I don't remembered who all was where and leading what country, but I think I agree with your assessments. ISTR Argentina was way better looking than his ranking. I just closed that tab or I would review with your annotations for comparison!

In hopeful dog news, which I think we all could use, a friend's dog had a small seizure when she was visiting here on Sunday. She was able to take 'Abigail' to the vet yesterday, and the verdict is that it's being caused by a too large brain in a too small skull -- the end result of which is kind of a perpetual canine migraine, which explains why the poor pooch has always been a behavior problem, despite my friend's excellent dog-handling skills.

They can treat the condition with a couple simple drugs, which have a good chance of working. So, like I said, the seizure was actually a good thing, because it has led to a diagnosis that is going to really help the poor pup.

Aw, poor pup, but yay for treatment.

tommmyrot, can you focus on being there for your uncle, regardless of what happens with your aunt? That's got to be hugely valuable for him.
