All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Portland is the Paris of the PNW

Heh. I wasn't really looking to go there, but a couple of people are really trying to get me to apply for this job.

Our wings are not tired.

Well apparently everyone across the nation with Webroot as their anti-virus program was hit yesterday. What a mess. I had 4 practices with issues, and not enough sleep. Really their IT was responsible for fixing it, but they have our back when we need them so DH and I have been working the issue too. [link]

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oy, sorry to hear that, Laura. I guess it is good to have the explanation.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

MRI went fine.

Excellent!

I like your style, Zen.

I like your style too, -t!

what I don't know is how to accomplish it realistically.

Oh, well, realistically...

I applied for a job that would be perfect for me today, in a more money, less stress way, even if it's not exactly what I want to be doing with myself five days a week. But I also talked to my agent today, and she's really excited about what I'm working on, so I'm now excited, too (and trying to ignore the oh-my-god-now-I-have-to-write-well fear that came along for the ride).

Yay for both those things, especially the second one! You do write well, so there!

My only problem with the CPAP is the urge to say "Are you my mummy?" when I put it on.

Totally using this!

I have the full face mask, does anyone use the nasal mask?

I use the nasal mask. I think it doesn't keep me from snoring. The full face mask gave me anxiety; I felt like I couldn't breathe. Now that I'm used to them, it might be better.

My mom used to tell people about how when I was five or six my stated ambition was to be a toll booth attendant, on the theory that you would get to pretty much sit there in the booth and read all day.

I wanted to work in one of those parking-lot photo kiosks, remember those? for the same reason. Then I did it and it was hot and my boss was horrible and wouldn't let me read.

Today I'm in pain because of the Red Invasion, drugged up for the pain, and therefore sleepy. Luckily I don't have much work to do today.

I use a CPAP with the nasal mask and it seems to work really well. Anxiety was my reason for using it too.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I also use a nasal mask. I couldn't deal with the feeling of the whole mask on my face.

Glad it's not just me. I sleep much better when I use it, the difference is noticeable. Not looking forward to hauling it to Iceland, though.

Anyone have experience taking a CPAP machine through security/customs?

I meant to answer this yesterday and I forgot, sorry! I use the nasal mask and it's mostly fine. Reminds me of scuba diving, but kind of in reverse. Very occasionally I will wake up and have to figure out that that whooshing wind noise is a "mouth leak" and I just need to shut my jaw. Hopefully I am subconsciously learning that and will be able to do it without waking up. I actually have the nasal pillow to try also, but my sleep technician advised waiting until I was used to the mask first (the nasal mask is her first choice for new users unless they need the full face mask for some reason - I haven't tried it). Which I guess I am now, so I should do that, see how I like it.

I have seen that there is such a thing as a CPAP machine one can take camping, I should look into that a little further.
