I've decided that since work won't allow me to take the spring vacation I'd wanted, I am going to Atlanta either this weekend or next to see *The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told* at a theatre there. Even a one-night trip ought to blow a little steam off, and I've loved that play for 15 years or so.

Timelies all!
We are home from Toronto. The trip took a bit longer than planned, but it wasn't Mr. S's fault.(Gary ate something that disagreed with him, so we had a few extra bathroom stops.) The con was fun.
The Mazda CX-3 and CX-5 and wonderful crossovers, but they do not make a hybrid.
Yeah, I would have been all over the CX-3, but I feel like I need to get a hybrid. Not just for economy, but for the planet. I have driven a car for 13 years that gets only 19 mpg; I need to make up for that. I wish it came with an AWD option, but I'd rather have the fuel economy than the AWD.
I wish Mazda made their hybrid Mazda3 for the US market, but it's only sold in Japan right now.
I don't think I'm having a mid-life crisis, although the concept of having a bit of extra cash and not having to worry about my parents is rather freeing. (I miss them, of course, but the last several years was a long road.)
In other news, Alaska Airlines found the kindle I left on the plane a few weeks ago. However they found it 2 days after I received the replacement kindle I had ordered from Amazon... :-)
Ah, well. Maybe a present for one of my nieces, then.
Digestive issues on the road are the worst. Good to hear Mr. S did well on the trip.
Good plan, Matt! Enjoy.
My mid-life crisis is wallowing that I will never be in a relationship and being paralyzed about how to make myself happier here, while dreaming about being anywhere else.
I just realized that I have read the last forty or so posts without comprehension and/retention. I'm sorry. Brain fried. Much love to all, sorry I can't be more present.
My mid-life crisis has me considering a job in Portland.
Portland is the Paris of the PNW
Mine is mostly dreaming about tiny houses and a big piece of land and many friends who also would magically be able to quit their jobs and live in semi-wilderness in tiny houses.
Oh, that is a pleasant vision.
