Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I want to say I don't like sans serif, but mostly I don't like change.

I just gave an underling something poorly written to fix, and let her think it was mostly the consultant who wrote it. It was mostly me! Well, actually, it was mostly other people, but I did a half-assed job of putting it all together. Which is why I asked her to take a run at it.

Change can be good. Google's new logo is terrible.

brillig

In our old house-converted-to-bad-apartments, the sketchy neighbors knocked on our door one day to ask Hubby if he might have a fire extinguisher. Hubby, the old fire-fighting warhorse, asked if he could help, but they were adamant about no one coming into their place. When the neighbors finally left/disappeared, there were burn spots in the ceiling above the kitchen and bathroom sinks. I never smelled anything weird, but the neighbors sure did the stereotypical physical decline of meth users.

information libertarian

Google's new logo looks childish. It makes me think of first graders.

In twelve year old news, I just got Casper through the problem of finding her leotard (through escalating texts and a teary phone call). I think she found it in her dance bag, which was of course the first place I told her to look. Now we wait and see if she manages to catch the city bus and get to class all by herself. mr. flea is standing by at work in case he has to go rescue her by car.

She's a darling, sensible girl, but still TWELVE.
