Place I used to work, we had a problem that the cleaning people would unplug the server so they could plug in the vacuum.
Later, there was a special room for the server ... only they discovered that the AC went off at night and the room got too hot. So they had a special AC unit installed ... and then had to put a cover over the server because there was a line going from the door to the AC unit that dripped condensation on the server.

Good lord, that's more than an urban myth/joke?
Google's new logo is terrible, right?
then had to put a cover over the server
Did the cover make the server too hot?
At IEEE HQ, they built a special underground fortress of solitude for the servers. The place is all shiny and high-tech, with a glass wall so you can look in and see what you might have had if you'd gotten a degree in IT instead of liberal arts. It looks like the bridge of a starship in there.
Oh, man, I just had a call from a colleague and she said "Hi, how are you", like you do, and I said "Fine" but not "and how are you?" like I usually do and she automatically said "Fine, thanks" and then got all flustered. I'm a heel.

It looks wrong.
SO wrong.
The power of stupidity is infinite.
In one of today's examples, DEA agents here evacuated an apartment building after they found an active meth lab in one apartment.
Flammable solvents were cooking on the stove. Just feet away from those combustible liquids, there were several candles burning in an effort to mask the smell of the meth lab.
It is true that an explosion and fire would successfully mask the smell.
