I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Brenda, I saw it on Consumerist too.

All right, most of my moving boxes have found a new home and I have recycled the rest. I only have to get through a very epic day of work tomorrow and then I'm on vacation.

I need to remind myself that sleep deprivation makes everything more awful and that's why going to bed earlier is a great idea.

Sleep is good. Vacation is excellent.

I don't have vacation on the horizon like that, but I have been told there will be cupcakes tomorrow, so that's something. And, of course, more books than I can keep up with coming my way, so I'd better go do what I can to finish up the one I'm in the middle of right now...

This is a short vacation to DragonCon, so it won't be restful, exactly. But I won't be checking my work email!

Books and cupcakes are good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I need to remind myself that sleep deprivation makes everything more awful and that's why going to bed earlier is a great idea.

Yeah, I was doing pretty well on that front yesterday, until my fan fell out of the window and I was up for an hour in the night. Boo!

Was getting increasingly incensed about a coworker's phone beeping somewhere in my hall...until I realized it was a damned bird outside.

Stupid birds.

Coding and Sleeping

I finally got a smartphone this weekend. A nicely cheap Moto E which so far I love. I have Tracfone for a service carrier because I'm allergic to monthly fees so I have very little mobile data, but I'm in range of WiFi most of the day so I don't think that will be a big issue.

It's especially nice because I just set up a cloud service for the family (wife, kids, in-laws) so we could all have calendar, task, file, and contact sharing. I now have that all integrated with my phone :).

So does anyone have any Android apps that are a must-have super-useful cool? I haven't added much so far just some syncing software and a task manager to integrate into my new private cloud. I did install 'Out of Milk' which is proving a nice app for recording a grocery list as I think of things to add.

That is hilarious, sarameg.

No app advice, Gud, but yay phone!

I am sorely tempted to call in Can't Work: Reading today, but not gonna. I do think I need a dragon on my ear, though. And I think I have convinced myself that I prefer freshly assembled breakfast burritos to frozen and the difference in prep time is not really much. Also, going to bed at 8 makes for a more restful morning the next day but I just can't do that every day so I still have no real solution to the How Do I Get Enough Sleep problem.
