Was getting increasingly incensed about a coworker's phone beeping somewhere in my hall...until I realized it was a damned bird outside.

Stupid birds.

Coding and Sleeping

I finally got a smartphone this weekend. A nicely cheap Moto E which so far I love. I have Tracfone for a service carrier because I'm allergic to monthly fees so I have very little mobile data, but I'm in range of WiFi most of the day so I don't think that will be a big issue.

It's especially nice because I just set up a cloud service for the family (wife, kids, in-laws) so we could all have calendar, task, file, and contact sharing. I now have that all integrated with my phone :).

So does anyone have any Android apps that are a must-have super-useful cool? I haven't added much so far just some syncing software and a task manager to integrate into my new private cloud. I did install 'Out of Milk' which is proving a nice app for recording a grocery list as I think of things to add.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is hilarious, sarameg.

No app advice, Gud, but yay phone!

I am sorely tempted to call in Can't Work: Reading today, but not gonna. I do think I need a dragon on my ear, though. And I think I have convinced myself that I prefer freshly assembled breakfast burritos to frozen and the difference in prep time is not really much. Also, going to bed at 8 makes for a more restful morning the next day but I just can't do that every day so I still have no real solution to the How Do I Get Enough Sleep problem.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Birds are the fucking worst. Creepy little dinosaurs.

That's why they are awesome! Love my feathered dinosaur buddies (as long as they stay outside and do not actively try to spear me or pounce on me with their talons (will never forget how a Golden Eagle awakened my inner tiny shrew-like mammal ready to find a hole to hide in) and will happily continue the sugar and seed offerings (suet in the non-melty season).

Customers, now, those are annoying. Remember that thing I asked you for last week and you said you couldn't do it? Yeah, that's why you didn't get your orders. But, yes, I will explain. Again.

until my fan fell out of the window and I was up for an hour in the night. Boo!

WTF, fan? What did Jesse ever do to you?

I still have no real solution to the How Do I Get Enough Sleep problem.

Yeah, I had to get up at 5:30am this morning and I didn't go to bed at 9:30 like I should have because I was too busy doing vacation prep. Them beets needed roasting! Probably not as much as I needed sleep, though.

Mmm, beets.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I like the bird noise. Human noise, not so much.

I stayed up way too late, again, but not working or reading this time, no, I was playing a video game. How old am I?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, my cousin's husband was saying 8pm bedtime is his new thing, and it's working pretty well. I just can't do it! I'm trying to aim for before 10, at least.
