Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I was exhausted most of the day because at 3am I had to console a distraught kitty. ISTG, I think she had a nightmare and woke up in the living room scared and alone.

I believe it. My Niko cat used to have nightmares and need snuggles.

Glad you got the job offer, Consuela.

FedEx woke me at 8am because they couldn't find my house, and then hung up on me as I was trying to give them directions. It's 8:40 and there's no sign of them. I guess they gave up and someone else will try tomorrow to navigate the dimensional rift I live in.

Whooo! Consuela. Or should that be TENTATIVE Whoo!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good news, Consuela!

On the scrape front, I guess I recommend not doing nothing, because a couple really minor scrapes I got last summer are still visible and it's annoying. They were so minor, I didn't think to treat them at all!

I just closed the tab, so I don't have the link handy, but everyone should read the GQ profile of Stephen Colbert.

We have a corpse flower in bloom in Denver. People are flipping out to go smell the thing. I'll pass, personally. When they hand out barf bags just to check out a flower...ummmm, pass.

corpse flower

It's amazing how large they can get. But yeah, I wouldn't want to smell one, either.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Yay job!

On opposite job news front, we are letting someone go here today. He was upset with work stuff last week, went home got drunk (we suspect) and sent texts with threats. Very specific killing people threats. Not me, mind you. Things are a wee tense while we all wait for him to get here. He was not here the last two days, told to stay home on suspension.

Coding and Sleeping

Yikes, msbelle.

Huh, I can't get to b.org though my work Internet, but I can using the free WiFi from The Gap downstairs. My workplace Internet is just a residential AT&T connection (until the real thing gets hooked up) with a simple Linksys router so I'm pretty sure nothing is being blocked. Weird.
