I look more rad than Lutheranism

I said on FB yesterday but didn't say here -- I'm hoping the VP debate tonight is just a 90-minute Tim Kaine harmonica jamboree. OR -- and I might like this more -- you know how Trump kept interrupting during the first debate and bleating "Wrong!" while Clinton was speaking? I think whenever Pence says something ridiculous/horrific/untrue, Kaine should just bust out his harmonica and start playing "Turkey in the Straw" to interrupt him.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

His supporters called that "calling her out on all her lies". I'm not kidding.

I want this to happen. Challenge him to a harmonica duel! I heart Tim Kaine. If Joe Biden is America's Funny Uncle, Tim Kaine is America's Uncool-But-Awesome Stepdad.

cheese omelet:

When someone on a conference call announces they "won't take up everyone's time with this", it's a fair bet they'll be talking longer than anyone else about something that relates only to them.

Our wings are not tired.

It seems likely that the debate tonight won't pull in the numbers. No doubt it would be a lot more fun with added harmonica. I fear falling asleep.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, man, stupid woman on NPR this morning made me livid.

Sheryl, I hope you heal quickly.

Librarian Warlord

I think I heard the same story as Dana.

Greetings from Poland, everyone! I got in last night, it's been raining sideways all day, so I've mostly been catching up on work with only a short walk to the square -- which now has a Starbucks that wasn't here three years ago.

One of the students in class is the daughter of the Polish president, and there were big protests happening last night here regarding the abortion ban the govt is considering.

It really just made me so angry, because she's so calmly immovable in the face of actual facts. Convinced that Muslims are responsible for the violence in the US (because that's what the Koran tells them). And when the reporter said, what about studies that show white men commit most of the shootings, she said, "I don't believe that."

YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT. YOU FUCKING NARROW-MINDED DELIBERATELY IGNORANT MORON.

Hey Sparky! I hope the weather improves so you can get out and about more.

Didn't hear NPR, but I did see the NYT has Hillary back at 79% chance of victory. [link]

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

So I spent the rest of my commute snarling at other drivers and (silently) snarling at the people in my office who wanted me to buy something for a Susan G. Komen fundraiser. They better get through this month without asking me why I don't want to participate.
