I now have a seal bark and tonight in the pool..oh my god. I had to stop several times, times were shit, lungs are pissed. But I've got the good drugs now. And may go get a protein shake or smoothie tomorrow because I'm pretty sure not eating isn't sustainable, no matter how uninterested in food I am.

Sue that is very weird.

Ironically, NAFTA means that if I got a library job, I could get a US work visa easily.

Tell me more. Does it work the opposite way? Just in case.

Friend and I are trying to decide where to travel next year. We made a list. And we can't narrow it down. We want to go to ALL the places!!

I think it does. Technically, it looks as if they're considered temporary visas, as they're only for 3 years. Here's the Canada to US list of professions: [link]

Yeah, here is about work permits into Canada: [link] (I suspect this list is the same in whatever direction, I'm just too lazy to check the whole thing.)

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

A LOT, if not an actual majority, of people in the US get what passes for information solely from network news, which has been a marathon of murderous police and rioting protesters lately. Actual violent crime statistics have been on the downward trend for years, but if you're only watching the yellow journalism on television you'll be left with the impression that we live in the setting from Escape from New York.

I need a yurt.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Gud, I am so glad. All the love to you and your girl.

Plei, WRT to people not getting basic facts? It totally doesn't matter. We are in a post fact era. That and what my friend Benn says:

"Also, I don't think Trump's supporters, aka The Deplorables, give a shit about anything but electing an asshole to punish the rest of America for, well, 8 years of a black president, for a country that is changing around them in ways they can't understand and so are threatened by, for having any money they may have had siphoned off by the 1%, and for largely being disenfranchised by the very institutions they grew up believing in."

I think that is the crux of why people will go to bat for Trump.

Gud, I'm glad she's doing better. I hope you find the support you need for her and for all of you.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Gud, I'm so glad to hear she's on the mend. How utterly terrifying the whole experience must be.
