I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I really kind of want this skirt.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I may not agree with the responses I've been getting but so far, other than two cousins with opposite comments, everyone has been very restrained. I have thought about making this post for a few weeks and after the debate I had to do it. I mean, I TOTALLY don't get it. But I respect the people who have been responding and want to maintain that respect.

Not sure if I mentioned it here, but I went to a watch party at a neighbor's place - someone I've never met but got connected with by our local Hillary organizer. There were about 8 of us there - no one knew each other. I just wanted to watch with like minded people. If I had watched alone at home, I probably would have gone nuts.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Yesterday morning I was walking to my office and heard a man walking behind me tell a friend that he had to be sure he didn't go to a Republican bar to watch the debate because he wouldn't be able to keep his mouth shut and didn't want to be arrested.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Pretty sure you need that skirt, Dana.

I live a block from trader joes, so I do most of my shopping there. Sometimes go to Safeway or QFC (aka Kroger) if I want brand names like Coke or specific products or whatever.

Sue that sucks! I thought Canada and the U.K. were tighter on being able to work in ragh other's country!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Right now I'm doing a combination of Stop'n'Shop and Freshdirect. Once I get my basement chest freezer I can start doing serious Costco shopping again.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I shop at Big Y most of the time, which I hate, but it is the only supermarket in town. When I have more time and energy, I go to Shaw's in the city because the prices are much better. I go to Trader Joe's about once a month to stock up on things I prefer to get there. And when there are no spoons left and I need all the things (like this week) I place a Peapod order. I also go to the local butcher for various things.

Well that's the crazy thing, I was eligible to apply because I am a citizen of a Commonwealth country. You would think being eligible to apply would mean they would follow through with hiring, and sponsoring for a visa, but no. For the visa I need, they need to show there's not an UK citizen able to do the job, so I suspect there was probably a suitable runner-up.

Ironically, NAFTA means that if I got a library job, I could get a US work visa easily.
