Eh, I think Ohio and Florida will swing back to blue. And like I said above, I'm curious why there's such a big gap between 538's current numbers and NYT and the Princeton Consortium, because the latter 2 have Clinton's numbers much higher.

I don't know...sometimes whether you are talking "Registered" or "Likely" makes a difference, and some pollsters rely on landlines pretty heavily.(can't imagine why anyone likes Trump, though.) You know what sucks about raising your starting wage on offer by a dollar an hour because you are so desperate to find someone to hire but not raising the wages of your oldtimers? People have a really hard time not thinking things like, "Seventeen years of experience in the field, eleven years of consistent, knowledgeable service to the people I support, that's only worth fifty-eight cents," and ugly-crying as they drive home.

Zenkitty, I work in a public library. The standard road to a professional librarian position is a 4 year college degree and then a master's of library science at an institution accredited by the American Library Association. They have a whole web site for those considering library careers. [link] But the FIRST thing to do is to get a job or volunteer at her local public library.

I'd be happy to talk to her as well. I will say it's important to like books but it's even more important to like people. Most jobs in libraries involve substantial public service.
