I am curious, though, about why 538's predictions are so different from the New York Times' and the Princeton Election Consortium's predictions.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
There are some Buffistas in the Portland, Oregon area, right? Just got off the phone with the DH (who is in Vail on a Volvo launch) and an autojournalist friend of ours has made a strong case that DH could continue to do his review work from there (access to press fleet cars is THE deciding factor in location) and that we could find a nice house. Not as cheap as the Detroit area, but still half as much as our current house.
This is intriguing.....
