Ahhhh. I finished my big draft. I mean, just the first draft, and someone will still tell me it's garbage, but still. The capital-W Writer has been working on two sections for weeks now, and I basically banged out the other 10 this morning.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Go Jesse, show 'em how it's done.
I have acquired a big project. Sigh. I mean, I always knew it would be my baby, but I was hoping to put it off for a while longer, not start it during our busy season. Oh well.
There are some Buffistas in the Portland, Oregon area, right? Just got off the phone with the DH (who is in Vail on a Volvo launch) and an autojournalist friend of ours has made a strong case that DH could continue to do his review work from there (access to press fleet cars is THE deciding factor in location) and that we could find a nice house. Not as cheap as the Detroit area, but still half as much as our current house.
This is intriguing.....
Erin is in Portland, and SA (though she's not here much anymore)
I totally support Scrappy in PDX...but only coming from a few places would it be "cheap"
erinobscure (wait, as that her board name? I may be conflating) and SA, I think. I like Portland a lot and think you would, too, Scrappy.

Anywhere in California, I think.
I'm embarrassed to say I was kind of wondering why you were thinking Detroit in the first place, Scrappy. But duh! Cars are your DH's job! They have a lot of those there!
Scrappy that sounds nice!
TCG really needs to find a new job, not because of the job itself but because of the commute, which is getting worse and worse. We really can't afford to live any closer to his current job, and we wouldn't really want to anyway.
I have started asking people on Facebook who post crap about protesting police is the same as forgetting the soldiers who fight for our freedom, "The protestors too are working for liberty and justice for all. How did seeking genuine accountability for wrongdoing become the act of an enemy?"
WS, I don't know. I thought our ability to speak freely was one of the rights our soldiers were fighting for.

Yeah...I didn't clue into that at all. Anyone see my cluestick?
